Meet Jodi

Hi there! I’m Jodi Kirkwood and I’m truly passionate about all things Real Estate. When I was young, as early as I could remember I wanted to be an architect. I even chose architecture as my major at the University of Dallas. After 3 years of Architecture, I changed directions and decided that I would be happier at something a little different—I moved to Southern California and I double-majored in Graphic Design and Communication Design right when the Internet was becoming a "thing," then it was referred to as the World Wide Web which was thought to be just a "fad". Naturally, this really piqued my interest and developed into a colorful career in branding, visual design, online marketing, social media and UX design (User Experience Design) which has led me to where I am today.

Since 2001, I’ve been immersed in design, branding, advertising, and marketing specifically in the real estate industry. I’ve focused my time on learning about the industry, and its trends, reading the market, studying the needs of buyers, sellers, and investors alike, as well as learning to LISTEN to my clients and helping them navigate through some of the toughest markets, negotiations, and conditions over the years. I spent many years building a real passion to help others find their next “Forever Home”, their first home, investment properties, vacation homes, and everything in between.

I knew that someday when my children were just babies there would come a time when they wouldn’t need me as much. I knew when that time came, I could then focus on making Real Estate my full-time career. So, I continued nurturing and building relationships with my clients. My hope is that how I conduct my business will result in clients' and customers becoming more like family, trusted friends, and a network that will last a lifetime. I pride myself on perfecting the art of listening and understanding the needs and wants of my clients. I strive to ensure this next adventure they take with me is as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Real Estate transactions can be very emotionally charged and rightfully so because of the time and money involved. I think it’s important to always do the right thing for my clients; Inform, educate, and learn when possible but also to laugh and remember to have fun along the way.

I’ve created the Kirkwood Home Team to not only build a legacy for my family, my children, and my trusted peers but also for the generations to come. My goal is to establish a brand that is recognized for its integrity, excellence in the quality of service we pride ourselves in but also its service of giving back to those in need. We believe as a family—and as a team that giving of our time, our resources, and kindness builds a better community that thrives all around.
